Nearsightedness (myopia) is more than simply needing stronger glasses. As a child's eyes become more myopic, the risk of serious eye diseases later in life increases significantly. That is why early myopia management is so important.

Our goal is not simply to help your child see clearly today, but to help protect their vision—and their future opportunities.

It also means helping your child enjoy the confidence and freedom to participate fully in school, sports, and everyday life—without being limited by their vision whenever possible. Lower levels of myopia may also help preserve more options for future vision correction, including refractive surgery if appropriate.

Every child is different. We develop an individualized treatment plan based on your child's age, prescription, eye growth, lifestyle, and risk factors. Depending on your child's needs, treatment may include Orthokeratology (Ortho-K, OK Lenses), our AOK Eye Braces® and Day AOK™ programs, low-dose atropine, multifocal contact lenses or glasses, increased outdoor time, together with regular monitoring of axial eye length.

Our goal is not simply to fit an Ortho-K lens, but to provide a comprehensive myopia management program that combines clinical expertise, thoughtful care, and long-term monitoring to help protect your child's vision throughout their years of growth.

Many eye diseases develop without pain, warning signs, or changes in vision. Our goal is not simply to determine whether you need glasses, but to detect eye disease as early as possible—often before you notice any symptoms.

Every examination begins with listening carefully to your concerns and understanding your individual needs. We then combine a thorough clinical examination with advanced diagnostic technology, including OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) macular and optic nerve imaging, Optomap® widefield retinal imaging, visual field testing, corneal topography, axial length measurement for myopia management, infrared meibography for dry eye assessment, and other specialized testing when appropriate, to build a more comprehensive picture of your eye health. By combining these advanced technologies with a thorough clinical examination, we are often able to detect eye disease earlier and more effectively than with traditional examination methods alone.

Technology alone does not protect your vision. It is the combination of advanced technology, clinical expertise, careful interpretation, and taking the time to explain what we find that allows us to recommend the care that is most appropriate for your individual needs.
